When to Bring in YCC

Bring in YCC when a project is being considered, scoped, estimated, procured, redesigned, delayed, repriced, or prepared for board approval.

YCC is especially valuable when the owner needs independent judgment before committing to a budget, delivery method, contract structure, schedule, major change, or construction approach.

Owner Advisory

For owners who need strategic guidance, informed judgment, and experienced project input without full day-to-day construction management involvement.

This level of service is centered on early alignment and sound decision-making. YCC supports scope definition, budget validation, delivery strategy evaluation, procurement planning, and risk identification so owners can make critical decisions with greater clarity and less exposure.

Owner’s Representative

For owners who need active project oversight, routine coordination, and disciplined management of project information during design and construction.

YCC works alongside the owner and project team to oversee cost, schedule, progress, contractor performance, changes, quality, and key deliverables. Support may include reporting, decision tracking, budget oversight, meeting leadership, schedule review, and coordination across stakeholders.

Owner’s Delivery Lead

For projects that require a more embedded level of owner-side leadership due to complexity, schedule pressure, stakeholder demands, remote logistics, or accelerated delivery.

YCC provides hands-on leadership to help maintain momentum, resolve issues quickly, and keep the owner informed on priorities, risks, and decisions requiring action. This level of support is especially effective when a project demands strong day-to-day owner representation without adding unnecessary internal burden.

Targeted Advisory

For owners who need focused support on a specific issue, decision, or phase of work.

YCC provides short-duration advisory services for assignments such as RFP development, contract review and recommendations, project readiness reviews, delivery method selection, procurement strategy, estimate review, schedule review, change order and claim review, and second-opinion assessments. This is well suited for early-stage planning, targeted problem solving, and situations where an independent owner-side perspective is needed before moving forward.

Engagements are typically structured as monthly retainers, with targeted advisory available on a fixed-fee or as-needed basis.
